Getting Your Business’s Lobby Clean

Getting Your Business’s Lobby Clean
Let’s go over ways to keep the lobby of your business clean.

Customers start to establish an impression of your business the moment they walk through your doors. If you would like your impression to be a positive one, you need your business to be clean.  The lobby is one of the first areas they will see, so they make a huge impact on customers’ perceptions of your building, which is why it’s important to keep them clean. Let’s go over ways to keep the lobby of your business clean.

Floors

When there is enough foot traffic going through your business, your floors will get worn down fairly quickly. They can also get pretty dirty, so depending on how much foot traffic you get, you should look at your floors every day, or possibly every hour. Running a vacuum or dry mop along your floors will keep them in top shape, making them safer and more pleasing to the eye.

Doors

People will be using your doors around your lobby constantly. Door handles can be some of the dirtiest parts of a building. To keep them clean, wipe them down frequently and sanitize them in order to keep dirt and germs from piling up too much.

Shiny Spots

Look at the reflective spots around your lobby. If there are handprints, dirt, or moisture on them, it will make your business look much less tidy. Reflective areas are easy to notice, which means they will require constant wiping down and polishing if you don’t want people seeing them dirty.

Debris & Trash

Unfortunately, not all trash gets into trash bins. You don’t want debris littering your floors, so take time to clean up whatever trash is on your floors and put it into an appropriate trash receptacle. Trash bins should also be emptied daily at a minimum. This keeps them from getting too full, and it stops them from developing nasty odors.

Furniture

Furniture around your lobby is going to need to be polished and dusted. Sometimes, vacuuming will be needed as well, depending on what kind of fabric you use for spots such as your seating. If you notice stains on your furniture, you should apply an upholstery cleaner to the afflicted areas.
